Testosterone propionate is relatively faster acting than other the testosterone esters such as cypionate or enathate injections and is known as the short-acting form of testosterone. Short-acting testosterone solutions like propionate are injected in a dosage of 25 mg to 50 mg IM, and many hormone treatment programs specify injecting 50mg to 200mg 2 to 3 times a week for a total of 200mg to 500mg.
Testosterone propionate has been used for studying its effects on pregnant ewes. Testosterone Propionate is the shortest commonly ester attached to the Testosterone hormone. This means it takes your body the least amount of time to rid itself of the ester and release the parent hormone into the body. Due to its short active life, testosterone propionate typically needs to be injected every other day at a minimum. Anecdotally, testosterone propionate causes the least side effects and the least bloating; these side effects usually subside very quickly when use is ceased.
